It is sometimes difficult to draw the line between quality and practicality. On one hand, an image may look better if it is bigger or more detailed. On the other, many people may not wait for the image to finish loading before they move on to another site.

The guidelines that follow demonstrate different aspects of quality, color space, and file size.
